You're right it was a crosscheck to the head on Crosby...I'd completely forgotten... pretty sure that happened near the end of the second period ( Crosby left the ice, and if memory serves missed a couple shifts in the 3rd but later returned...I also recall there was tons of other stickwork on Sid prior to this incident !...Seriously, could u even imagine the hoopla from Swede fans if the skate had been on the other foot, so to speak...

Yeah, I was at that game.

The Canadians pulled off their we-can't-lose-with-honour-thing and started a fight in the last few minutes. At the end of the game there were three of our guys in the penalty box.
