Canada played Russia in the semis...we came on so strong in the first, Russia couldn't keep up and was taking penalties all over the place...Canada built up a 4-0 lead, but that one we hung on 4-3.

Of course the fans blamed the ref, same as the Latvian game where we won 10-1 and the fans threw pennies and garbage on the ice...if one team can't keep pace it's normal they're going to take more penalties...

I guess it's a lot easier for some fans to blame the refs than to admit that your team is being outplayed...

Funny given that this is an IIHF tournament, which if anything has always had an anti-Canada bias (it took them 100 years just to allow us to hold a tournament, ffs!)...
