The shoot-out shouldn't exist for the big games.

I don't like the 4 on 4 OT for big games either...if a team takes a penalty, as we did, the 4 on 3 situation is too much of an advantage...just let them play normal hockey to decide it!

yeah, that wasn't the best scenario either but i don't think it cost us the game.

Laying back did....we had the players and were playing the way to crush them and they let the Russians off the hook.

That was what killed us.

Yep...Hitch coached his way off the TC top spot in this Tourney....unfortunately with this tit-for-tat favour thing Nicholson has going with NHL coaches, players and agents we end up with a bad fit here and there....I think HC sees the loyalty thing as a price they have to pay to keep credibility within the NHL especially the old guard....allows them a wider access to players/coaches in the long run....none of that will be in play for 2010 Drydenov is correct....check the ego at the door time and win..no way we are losing the OG's on home soil...not best on best....not with the 06 debacle as a recent memory....may be the last Olympics with NHL participation for a very long time....so best on best will be problematic....again

If the players could understand what is most important then we would be fine.
