Sweden played awfully, it's quite worrying. We added two new players though. Lundqvist doesn't really need any introduction, but he won't make a difference if we continue to play this badly. Douglas Murray will be an interesting addition, just as long as he doesn't get too many penalties.

but the strangest thing isn't that Switzerland won, but that they were actually the better team on the ice. I mean we've won games against big nations before, but usually with tons of luck and shutting down on the defence. But yesterday, they actually controlled most of the game...

Ok, let's not exaggerate here lol. I wouldn't really call it controlling most of the game, unless you mean constantly ice the puck to be in control. If so, guess you're right. ihwcforums/flirting.gif

Well the Swiss team really controlled that game, I mean the Swedes had a lot of problems to get good scoring chances. Well it was for sure a very bad game of the Swedes, they can do much better. But it was nice to see the boys competing.

I think it's fun when the teams you don't really count on start advancing.
And hopefully that's exactly what the Swiss team did.

I would personally love to see more teams competing for the gold in the future, not just the ones you know will do good (none mentioned, none left out. We all know the top teams).

Hopefully that was the case with this game. smile.gif

What a sweet game. The only bad thing about it was the Swedes who realised they couldn't beat the Swiss so they tried to kill them instead.

Now Switzerland won their group, and I really really hope you do well. Bronze for you would be more than great wink.gif.

*110% agree*
some very ugly mooves

Well actually I know Swiss hockey too good that I can say we will never compete for gold medal. We need more than just a hockey wonder to get gold. But every century we have the luck and maybe can advance into the semis.

I am happy for several players who did work very hard like Andreas Ambühl, Thibault Monnet, Beat Forster, Julien Sprunger and Jonas Hiller.

Tonight against the Czechs its going to be a hard game, we need fantastic goaltending to stay in the game. But I am looking forward to it.

well, maybe I'm slightly exagerration, but they really were in control during much of the game, the second period, and most notably the third.

the Swedes never really had a chance to turn it around...not playing like that. Maybe if Wallin and Edler had decided to play hockey instead of turning to stupid fouls, but not playing like that.

as for the game against the Czechs: ihwcforums/cry_smile.gif
not that it wasn't expected, but a shutout always looks nasty for the losing team sad.gif at least our guys won't have their heads growing too big that way wink.gif
