Well, no holds barred from Team USA...after their team totally lost it after the buzzer went off they want more suspension for Olli Jokinen in case Canada beats Finland tonight and TF meets then USA in the quarters.

So much for sportsmanlike behaviour in this tourney. Look into the mirror yankovices. biggrin.gif

yeah.......i think that's more fallout from the goal review myself.

it's made them spiteful......................understandable though they're not correct in asking for this.

I mean..............Dustin Brown didn't even lose a game played and if you're going to suspend OJ for what he did then you have to toss Brown for as much if not more.

Aurelia- 05-12-2008
Well, I was glad to see him go, because it forced Shedden to change 2nd line and PP, and it worked. But this is ridiculous. The check itself was clean.

yeah but this is the world championships............................like i've said before,we've been crying about how they call checks since we started entering the thing.

Now it's your guys turn to deal with it.

they don't want physical play.

It's a holdover from the old CCCP days.

Ray Canuck- 05-12-2008
Well I don't think it's a spiteful move at all....
It's a coach trying his best to gain any advantage he can!

Can't tell me this has anything to do with nationality....it's strictly a coaching ploy!

Of course it sucks!
With any luck he'll get nowhere with it.....but it already has it's desired affect....
Trash talk ...that's all IMO
Just like that dirty rotten Swedish Murray ihwcforums/dev.gif ihwcforums/giggle.gif

There's nothing wrong with Murray:P

It would be nice to see the hit from a different angle.

Ray Canuck- 05-12-2008
hey I was joking!!!!
I've posted before the hit was clean by NHL standards!!!!!!!!!!
BUT
it was a hit to the head which the IIHF don't allow....
so from that standpoint it was illegal

sux to keep your head down!

I suppose but something tells me if the game had not included that play they would'nt be bothering with this. They would have just accepted what the tournament offcials and refs decided to give him and left it at that.

im surprised Brown wasn't suspended myself but i think that's just a gift the tournament big-wigs are giving them for being on the bad side of that video call. Any other time brown would be gone........................this is the worlds after all!!

That video gaff caused a lot of shit Ray.

dryden- 05-14-2008
So what?

Brown was playing when normally he would have been suspended big time.
