Hey................Russia had to win someday,any of the big seven can from time to time.

And FYI, Russia and Canada are tied with 24 golds each. Yeah, Canada had some over the past 15 years but Russia had many before. If you didn't notice, hockey dynasties come in such periods. Time to bid Team Canada good bye, and welcome the all powerful Russia!!!

I wouldn't let this all go to your head if i were you....................lot's of teams have figured out your guys number long ago.

Crow is pretty damn difficult to eat when you are not capable of winning consistently....and you guys ain't.

you know, i didn't really get interested in this tournament until the lockout year,
i always followed it but didn't go out of my way to watch many of the games until the quarters and semis.

the perception in canada is that this is not an important tournament (namely because it does not feature best on best and also because it is so euro-centric),
perhaps that attitude towards it is slowly changing,
obviously bringing the tournament here was a step in getting more people interested in it.

as far as young guys like phaneuf and weber not playing, you have to shake your head,
but all countries had some of their best young players not attend,
ie. why did alex steen not play for sweden?
i know spock was a bit perturbed by his no-show.

I don't see the point of starting this "Canada is way more successful than Russia" bullshit. Last your you won, I gave you guys credit for that, sent my congrats on IHWC board, instead of starting counting previous WC and OG wins and medals!

We won this year in Canada, against Canada on the 100th IHWC anniversary World Champs. We deserved to win, the game showed that! We were a better team! Why do you guys bitch at us now?

OK, now show me the post where I bitched about the refs? I didn't do it. I never even mentioned it. (However, I could read that even finns thought that refs calls in 1st period were a little bit one-sided, pls. check Finnish board if you can read Finnish of course).
