Like my name says I am from Switzerland (Zurich) of course I hope the Swiss team doesn't suck too bad, but since I spent a nice team in Toronto once I am a huge supporter of Canada and the Toronto Maple Leafs.

And yes... I am a hockey freak. I watch hockey, play hockey, breath hockey, listen hockey, read hockey so on....

Maple Leafs are OK, by the way Sundin was one of my fav players a few years ago. But then a get known Zetterberg, Ovechkin, and this little bastard Crosby guy.. he's amazing.. shold've been born to Swede

Ville: Well there are always new fantastic players coming. Even though I love Matsy and I will always do so. He is the all time scoring leader of the Maple Leafs and just a classy guy.

Its just a shame all the players I really enjoy watching aren't playing for the Leafs at the momen: Eric Staal, Jason Spezza, Ryan Getzlaf, Mikko Koivu and not even good chances for getting Steven Stamkos or John Tavares. Well thats the life of a Maple Leaf Fan, one dissappointment topped by another dissappointment.

I grew up in Toronto and always cheered for the Leafs...that is until they traded Tim Horton. But I got over that after 30 years.

Where in Toronto did you grew up buddy? I never saw Tim Horton play in a full game, but he was outstanding. Now we only can enjoy his awesome donuts, timbits and last but not least iced cap ;-)

Nice, during my time in Toronto I lived very close to Parkway... I was at Roncesvalles.

Well shame he finished his career in Buffalo, but at the end he played about 15 seasons in Toronto, so he was truly a Leaf and not a Sabre or Penguin.

37 y/o Swede.

Never played hockey myself (only skated some at young age) but pretty much the only sport i enjoy watching, except for maybe some athletics and bigger football tournament like EC or WC. IF i ever played, i'd be an enforcer for sure with many PIMs lol.

Team Sweden i cheer for obviously, also wouldn't mind see Finland succeed if Sweden doesn't. Canada too.

Fan of nhl and national team. Bored to death of SEL, so aint following that much.
Toronto USED to be my team, but i got sick of the fan base really. Half of them are idiots for sure. And the team itself doesn't get me going either. Guess some people were right about them lol. So no favorite nhl team at the moment. Do hope Detroit with all the Swedes take it this year tho.

Been around (on ihwc.net) since 2001 with this handle. Nice to see a place like this (even if it's a fan's all work) moderated and clean of trolls for a change!
