US wasnt the team what played against Canada. Them actually didnt had any kind of control during the game. Powerplay didnt worked because US had to play against a basic european movement and aggressivines and those players simply didnt had time to move the puck.. No time on defenders or no time at the boards-no goals. Im sure that this was a one game of bad playing and US will be back in form in the quarters,or then the sled has taken a wrong turn and it will keep going like this. Also US has Norway at their last game what for sure doesnt help at all when you look the coming quarters.

As a Finn Im clad that we won but as Im a secondary US Hockey fan Im disappointed for US way to play the game. I expected a better hockey game. Finland deserved to win that match. Finland had their heart at that game and them wanted to win and its mostly a big case in hockey that how much more you wanna win the match than your opponent.

What comes to refs calls,ok the side net goal clearly wasnt a goal but personally I think that those Russian refs called a penalty when them saw theres something. Unfortunately a hockey match would look exactly for that if the refs could call a penalty for everything whats against the rules.... Im still clad that some refs wanna keep the hockey as it should be and not wanna go with stupid modern hockey rules as the Russians did at FIN vs USA.

Anyway cant wait to see the quarters!

why is dustin brown playing? didn't he get a misconduct penalty for the scrap yesterday? is jokinen the only player ineligible to play today?

Well, Anssi Salmela got busted for fighting after the ridiculous check on Jussi Jokinen. He'll play in the quarters though, with the broken nose.

Dustin Brown got 2+10 and a "bad boy!" from the refs.
