We certainly have seen some pro Euro/ anti-NA judgements in the past...that's not open to debate...After all , it took a full 100 years to even hold this tourney in Canada...Although HockeyCanada ( or were they the CAHA then ? ) was promised this tourney once before, and also promised that we could use a few measly journeymen pros...a promise which the IIHF later reneged on ...surely ur familiar with that SORDID AFFAIR...

U dont have to PROVE anything ...for an accusation of BIAS to be justified...the video evidence speaks for itself...& at the very least this calls for a deeper probe into the matter

Also if the video judge was an inept/ completely inexperience individual...who made the PATENTLY STUPID decision to give him such an important post in the first place ?...was it Crony-ism?/ Nepotism? etc...

And how do we TRY to ensure...without probing more deeply into the matter...that an equally incompetent ( and/or biased ) judge doesn't get a similarly crucial position again ?

this guy had a solid Hockey background...Certainly a director of referees ought to be able to properly judge a goal invalid...Given the blatantly obvious Video Evidence...So quit with the myth ( unless of course I've misconstrued what u've said ) that this guy was totally inexperienced/ incompetent...

I agree that accepting Koistinen's shot as a legimate goal was a travesty. Then we both know that the officiating has been really bad sometimes in these tourneys. North American refs too. I agree that this should cause a complete restructuring of the officiating in int. hockey tournaments.

It has been already established that there wasn't a goal referee present...was there even a video goal ref? The decision was made by a Swedish ref director on the spot. Bad call indeed...one of many in that particular game.
