You can't tell what the final score would have been for sure. TF was carrying the play in the 3rd...but I'm not telling that we would have won either.

As for the reffering of the US-FINN game...Those penalties vs. Suomi were fully justified in my books ...

BUT if anything... Koivu shoulda got more than 2 minutes when he hit a Yank from behind and he sent him headlong into the boards...Watch the replay , Koivu crosschecks him, in the back...shoulda been 5 and a game

I still say Suomi loses without that CHEATING ViD Judges Help...( We'll Never Know for sure) ...ALSO...Admittedly, Dryden's point that the Yanks should have been able to regroup has some validity ...Tortarella ( sp? ) called a time out with the expressed purpose of settling them down...Alas, this is a very young team, and it didn't work...They spent most of the 3rd in the sin bin, and coupled with that Bogus Goal , ended up losing, but that Suomi victory ( thru no fault of their own ) was nevertheless tainted, and deserves an ASTERISK

Ridiculous ..that was NOT DUE TO INCOMPETENCE...No one who is not either a/ BLIND or b/ BLATANTLY CHEATING ...could have looked at that replay and called it a goal...

The only incompetence was on the part of those other IIHF officials who chose that BIASED/ UNCONSCIONABLE Swede vid judge in the first place...

If I was the Americans...I'd want to see what replays that judge was given...and I'd want to watch them in the presence of IIHF head of officiating...

I'd alwo want to talk to the Vid judge himself...Then I'd want an explanation for what transpired...and again crying ' simple incompetence' does NOT CUT IT...

If I was in USAHockey's shoes, I'd like some assurance that steps will be taken to TRY to prevent anything similar in the future...Surely, this Vid Judge should never ever again be involved in an IIHF even , in any kind of officiating capacity...also it seems clear that the way they go about selecting video review judges...should itself be critically reviewed...

I have followed the IIHF for eons, even remember the old Canadian Nats from the 60s though being quite young.

I've seen a lot of ludicrous schenanagans, did I spell correctly, commetted on and off the ice, and I'm sure Schooley agrees with me on this.

The video replay is present to avoid any human error as the tape doesn't lie.

This la-*test*-('") gaffe is TOTALLY unacceptable.

The USA ought to file an official pro-*test*-('") to replay the game or run back the score to 2-2 and start an overtime session.

The IIHF NEVER surprises me.

I'm talking nonsense? Well, excuse me but isn't Canada the hosting and the arranging nation? I don't know how they run game events down in Halifax but I'd expect a goal ref to be present. In Finland these officials usually come from the arrangers when Finnhockey is hosting IHWCs.
