Filing an official pro-*test*-('") is fine...but that would be purely perfunctory...there is NO way to replay that game at this point in the tourney...It wouldn't be fair to the FINNS, Hell it wouldn't even be fair to the Yanks..they had no chance to finish first in the Pool Anyway...So other than making a point to the IIHF official-DUMB, which I could totally see...and maybe seeking some explanation/ assurances that they will try to improve the ‘ quality/ fairness' of Vid Judges in the future...there's nothing else to be gained...

This could actually help Yanks in a backhanded kinda way...to develop an us against the world etc mindset...Should they meet Suomi again in the QF's ( which I'm betting on ) they'l be a HIGHLY MOTIVATED BUNCH !...

Hell the puck was nowhere near the goal mouth at any point...and that's clear from its Trajectory VERY EARLY ON...

AGAIN...only a BLIND MAN/ or a BLATANT CHEATER imo could honestly claim to have seen otherwise

This Ex-Video Judge deserves a thorough grilling/questioning by both USAhockey & IIHF officials....Again I'd wanna know precisely what replay he saw...For example, did they send him replays from SEVERAL DIFFERENT ANGLES ?....If so, how can he claim to have watched only one? and which one does he ' claim' to have watched ? Bet he'd start stuttering/ stammering right away when asked that question... Also...I'd wanna know if this guy has a checkered past...Has he ever been involved in other controversies/ been accused of cheating before ???

Since I doubt he was blind and he couldn't have been that dumb and cheated so obvious, I think it is due to incompetence, as he was unable to do his job.

The game can't be replayed (probably not enough time) and the guy's fired. No point in arguing about this anymore, since we all know this tourney has shit referees.

Personally i think that first goal just compensates all those unfair penalties against Finland. If USA was to win that match, it would have done so during the huge number of unfair PP they got.. To be honest, Team US looked like Italy in football: rediculous acting to get referees symphaties(especially that Koivu´s penalty). And it worked for 2 periods. In the third US showed its real face(?), spearing and checking to the head after whistle. Those guys should be banned from this tournament for good before they end someones career or kill someone. But I agree with Tortorella: OJ should have longer penalty, purely because it helps TF,
If we are to loose tonights game against Canada(its not a shame) and to face USA once more, just bring them on! This time there would be no controversy!

By that I mean that we Finns feel (as quite a few nations do about their own team) that someone else always has Lady Luck on their side. And of course we joke about it always being Sweden (and sometimes it really is). I didn't mean Sweden has literally scored a goal like that.

We don't have a loss... Just barely, after almost sinking against Norway and Latvia. The Slovakia game was horrible too! So we're not happy. We have no proof yet that he can take us all the way.
