Ridiculous ..that was NOT DUE TO INCOMPETENCE...No one who is not either a/ BLIND or b/ BLATANTLY CHEATING ...could have looked at that replay and called it a goal... |

| The USA ought to file an official pro-*test*-('") to replay the game or run back the score to 2-2 and start an overtime session. |

Here is what the SWEDISH judge who WAS NOT an official goal judge (but one was not present at the game) made the call said: It looked like a 100 % clear goal, so he only looked at the tape once. The puck was in! But as soon as he had said yes it's a goal, he realised what was wrong: how the puck got there. He yelled at the referees, but it was too late, as he was pointing to the centre already. And this cost him his job, as he has been fired. |

Ridiculous ..that was NOT DUE TO INCOMPETENCE...No one who is not either a/ BLIND or b/ BLATANTLY CHEATING ...could have looked at that replay and called it a goal... The only incompetence was on the part of those other IIHF officials who chose that BIASED/ UNCONSCIONABLE Swede vid judge in the first place... If I was the Americans...I'd want to see what replays that judge was given...and I'd want to watch them in the presence of IIHF head of officiating... I'd alwo want to talk to the Vid judge himself...Then I'd want an explanation for what transpired...and again crying ' simple incompetence' does NOT CUT IT... |

| If TC needs this kind of motivating then? LOL to that. Maybe you're in love with the US of A deep down since as a matter of fact you turned this into a Finn bashing by accusing of us (of the IIHF) cheating. |

| Now...who has quite vocal about Europeans crying foul and calling conspiracies? Wasn't me. |

| Well, dryden, we can agree to disagree. Maybe you choose to misunderstand some of my points, yes, of course Canada plays as a team as well, of course Jokinen and Selänne can be called scorers, of course Shedden is allowed to try out stuff. I'm just looking at these things from a different point of view, and perhaps with a different understanding than you since I am a Finn, and much of my analysis is ALWAYS coloured with humor and should not be taken as a challenge to argue I can acknowledge that you have good points too, perhaps you can admit that Shedden - though he comes from God's Chosen Country - might be wrong sometimes. In the end, however, I will stand by my Lions till the bitter/sweet/bittersweet end. |

| OK, Finland won fairly IMO irrespective of the disputed goal but this just shows that there is a huuuge bias against the Americans in particular. I am 100% sure the video ref in question was a Canadian and that he miscalled it on purpose. I also heard from one of our commentators this -- the Americans prepare printed materials before each game containing stats and other information and before one game at least the Can person responsible for the distribution of said materials just dumped them in a rubbish bin. Who needs that? I know, i know there's alot of passion but don't push it beyond what's reasonable, ok? |
