The first goal credited to them missed the goal mouth by a 1.5 ft EASILY...WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT ???

The Video Review judge has the same replays we do...NO ONE...who is not blind ...coulda called that a goal ...UNLESS THEY WERE CHEATING ! BLATANT CHEATING AT THIS LEVEL IS NOT ACCEPTABLE...

This has nothing to do with how this affects Team Canada , SERIOUSLY...( With all due respect to team Finland ) I feel supremely confident that our guys will beat Suomi 2-morrow...I also think those young Yanks will beat them in the qf's...for the simple reason them Young Yankees...whose average age is 24...KNOW THEY WERE ROBBED...and will come back in the next game with fire in their bellies

Honestly if it were up to me...I'd have HockeyCanada & USAhockey get together and present the IIHF with a take it or leave it ULTIMATUM

Either that video review judge is dismissed on the spot, and the IIHF issues an Apology for his incompetence ( REALLY THAT WAS JUST BLATANT CHEATING )

Honestly, this may be the blackest day in IIHF since Piestany...and since the last time Canada ( thru no fault of their own ) withdrew from IIHF competition

Don't know what you guys are bitchin about. I was at the game and it was very entertaining. The US got two good goals and the third period was totally dominated by the fins. Good end-to-end action, great saves and hard hitting made for a great game. This is how hockey is played!!!!!!

well the first Finnish goal was a joke and should not have been allowed....

That way the game would have maybe gone into overtime.....so even more fun!!!

Well, tbh, that game should have been called off after the riduclous refereeing in the first period.
This was the worst piece of refereeing I have seen ever..was saying after the first period already that this game should be re-played no matter what the result...as a finn im happy we "won", but it should still be re-played...not that there is time for it.

I do not understand how that goal was given...its like out of a (good/bad?) Rob Schneider movie...Like where the main protagonist is always remembered for that one mistake he did that one time...

Luckily this changes very little, its not like the US has any chance for medals anyways.
If it had been a normal 5-5 game we would have won against US as usual...way passed their time in the top 6.

What about the 20 minutes that Finnish player got in the first period.........no doubt it threw them of course as well

as it was said earlier.......... the whole game was shambles.......allowing that goal was just the cherry on the top of the cake.... with normal reffing the game might have a different outcome..........or the same .......we will never know...

Everything about the judging in this game was so off. And we agree, the goal was a bit ridiculous. It shouldn't happen. But we'll take it, as do everyone that get benefited by someone else's mistake. Frankly, for once it wasn't Sweden who got a goal like that .

And getting rid of Jokinen was only a positive thing! Suddenly our PP and 2nd line were working, I wonder why...?
