Marc Savard was left off the 46 man pre-camp. Based on his #s over the last 5 years he should have at least got an invite. Anyone know why ?

Right. To my knowledge he has never played for Canada and had plenty of chances when he was with the sad-sack Thrashers. So I always wonder if Hockey Canada doesn't like him because he has never played when they needed him, or if these is some other reason that only the insiders know. The guy puts up the numbers every year, plays PP, PK, so mystery to me.

It looks like Azerman's situation many years ago when he didn't play for Canada because of head coach insinuations.

Well since he's been on the DL all season I guess it doesn't matter... as a bubble guy he'd need a big season to have a shot....
